Throughout the winter and spring of 2025, I continue writing my dissertation... and I sent the draft to the curator of my thesis show, and to my writer brother. They were kind to read closely, offer helpful advice on various larger points, and more detailed refinements. I see now that I gave them a very rough draft, so I am working towards the actual 1st draft.
My complete rewrite is just under the 40,000 word limit. And I sectioned off the longest appendix, moved those five interview transcripts to five individual blog posts, and included links to them in a dissertation appendix. So, the massive appendices are reduced by more than half.
Sometime, hopefully during the early summer, I will submit it to both thesis supervisors via eDoc. They will read it, give their revision suggestions, and I'll do one one more set of revisions.
I will submit that version, which will be read by two outside reviewers. My oral defense (viva in the UK) will be scheduled for later this year... maybe in September. After that, they will give feedback, and I will make final changes before submitting the writing to LJMUs and TT PhD dissertation/thesis archives... I hope by the end of this year.
